Kocharian's Lawyer Submits Petition to the Special Investigative Service to Suspend Criminal Prosecution

Former Armenian President Robert Kocharian's legal team submitted another petition yesterday. This was announced in a statement by Robert Kocharian's defense group.

"In contrast to the Special Investigative Service's operational methods, which present one-sided and very limited information, not allowing an impartial observer to form a general picture regarding the case related to Robert Kocharian, the defense group will periodically inform the public about the content of the petitions and complaints already submitted and those to be submitted, as far as they do not contain pre-trial secrecy," the statement said.

It is noted that on January 9, a petition was submitted by Robert Kocharian's lawyers to the SIS investigator to suspend the criminal prosecution, considering that Article 300.1 of the Armenian Criminal Code cannot be applied.
