Hearing on Armen Gevorgyan's Bail Review Begins

The Court of Appeals initiated a hearing today on the appeal regarding the bail measures for former Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan, reports news.am.

The prosecution has appealed the decision of the first-instance court that denied the request to detain Armen Gevorgyan. The defense has also partially appealed the court's decision. Gevorgyan's attorney, Erik Aleksanyan, filed an appeal asking the court to uphold the first-instance court's ruling and to confirm the absence of reasonable suspicion as per Article 190 of the RA Criminal Code.
