Ejmiatsin Residents Block Roads to the City: What is the Situation There

Residents opposing the change of pre-trial measures for Manvel Grigoryan have blocked the Yerevan-Ejmiatsin highway. According to Aurora News sources, there are currently more than 100 vehicles on the road to Ejmiatsin.

All entrances and exits to the city, as well as central streets, have been blocked by the local residents. Vehicles are unable to leave Ejmiatsin and reach Yerevan. One of the organizers of the gathering, Jivani Abrahamyan, posted a video on his Facebook page, in which Manvel Grigoryan's lawyer, Arsen Mkrtchyan, referred to them as "tramps." He noted that today's particular frustration stems from the postponement of the hearing on Manvel Grigoryan's detention.
