I Urge You to Resign from the Mayor's Office Immediately: Khachatryan to Marutyan
Former member of the Yerevan Council, Marina Khachatryan, who participated in the parliamentary elections on the BHK ticket, wrote on her Facebook page:
“Dear Mr. Marutyan,
Dear Hako,
I understand that engaging in politics, especially being the mayor of Yerevan, is a laborious and incomprehensible task for you.
It seems you can easily be misled and 'pulled' by the prominent representatives of the former regime who have been next to you for inexplicable reasons, those who continue to dictate the 'miserable' lifestyle of Yerevan residents instead of standing before the court.
I want to believe that you are not intentionally squandering public funds, that you have no connection at all with the presented and executed city budget, since that budget is criminal, and all those people who wrote, approved, and implement that budget will be held accountable in the future.
I completely do not wish for you to fall like Shushan Petrosyan and become an object of ridicule and hatred, for all those bright moments you have had to be forgotten.
For this reason, I urge you to resign from the mayor's office immediately, to cleanse your name and honor, and not to become an object of laughter and curse. This does not suit you. You are not a political person. Please do not 'kill' Hako.
I wish for Hako to remain the beloved actor and artist of us all, and not to become entangled in corruption through Mr. Marutyan.
P.S. Let me not forget to quote your words.”
