The Special Investigative Service Returns Samvel Mayrapetyan's Passport
The Special Investigative Service has returned the passport of businessman Samvel Mayrapetyan, who was released on bail, today. This was announced to the media by the spokesperson for the Special Investigative Service, Marina Ohanyan.
However, Mayrapetyan is still not allowed to leave the territory of Armenia.
Previously, Mayrapetyan's lawyers had stated that they appealed to the European Court regarding the unjustified retention of his passport by the Special Investigative Service. The lawyers had previously raised concerns at the end of 2018 that Samvel Mayrapetyan needed urgent medical intervention in Germany.
