Electricity Prices to Decrease
All consumers will see a decrease in electricity tariffs by 0.37 AMD per kWh (including VAT), while consumers classified as socially vulnerable families will benefit from a reduction of 10.01 AMD per kWh (including VAT).
This decision was made today during a meeting of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the press service of the Commission, the regulatory body has set revised tariffs for electricity production and services provided by companies in the electricity system. At the same time, the process of revising tariffs in the electricity system has yielded positive results, allowing for the reduction of electricity tariffs by 0.37 AMD per kWh for all consumers (including VAT) or 10.01 AMD per kWh for consumers classified as socially vulnerable families.
Thus, the revised electricity tariffs for consumers classified as socially vulnerable families are as follows:
- Daytime tariff: 29.99 AMD per kWh (down from the previous 40.0 AMD per kWh), including VAT,
- Nighttime tariff: 19.99 AMD per kWh (down from the previous 30.0 AMD per kWh), including VAT.
The adopted decision will take effect from February 1, 2019.
