750,000 Drams Stolen from Norwegian Citizen in Armenia
The Investigative Committee of Armenia has uncovered a robbery case involving a citizen of the Kingdom of Norway, following necessary investigative and operational-search measures initiated in the Lori regional investigative department.
Three individuals have been arrested.
According to preliminary data, on December 16, 2018, individuals who allegedly committed the crime, acting in premeditation, used non-dangerous violence against the health of the Norwegian citizen and stole their sports bag containing a significant amount of 750,000 AMD, identification documents, food, and bank credit cards.
On the same day, a criminal case was initiated by the Lori regional investigative department under Article 176, part 2, points 1, 2, and 4, and Article 324, part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
Through conducted investigative and operational-search measures, the identities of the individuals suspected of committing the crime were established; they have been presented to the preliminary investigation body and arrested. The suspects are residents of the Lori region.
During the investigation, the suspects provided confessionary statements, and the stolen sum of 750,000 AMD from the Norwegian citizen has been seized.
The investigation is ongoing.
