Strike at Public Radio

A group of employees at Public Radio has announced the start of a strike, stating that the level of mismanagement has reached unprecedented heights since the appointment of Mark Grigoryan as the executive director.

The announcement specifically mentions that for perhaps the first time in its history, Public Radio has found itself in a state of disgraceful neglect.

“Since Mark Grigoryan took the helm of our radio, the level of impunity in the list of abuses is at its highest. Competent, experienced authors and hosts are being replaced by inexperienced individuals who have appeared at the radio through unclear paths. The illegal remuneration for radio and television programs is being carried out under different surnames by some members of the Public Council for Radio and Television. Each of these members has royal offices on the second floor of the radio, which are rarely opened throughout the year. In short, Public Radio has become a fertile ground for outsiders. Meanwhile, the technical staff, who ensure the broadcast around the clock with a 24-hour schedule, receive humiliating wages ranging from 70,000 to 100,000 drams,” the announcement states.

Aurora news has learned that the director of Public Radio, Mark Grigoryan, plans to hold a press conference in the near future.
