Automobile Customs Office to Operate Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM

In 2018, there was a sharp increase in the volume of imported vehicles, rising from an annual 40,000 to 62,500. This information was provided to Aurora News by the Public Revenue Committee's information and public relations department.

The infrastructure of the Ararat Customs Office - Division 2 (automobile customs office) was not designed to offer services for such volumes, which has led to additional queues and congestion.

The Public Revenue Committee is taking steps to provide a comprehensive solution to the issue. Until the matter is fundamentally resolved, the committee informs that customs clearance for vehicles can be carried out without exception at all customs offices and customs points.

In fact, the specialized/centralized system for customs clearance has been eliminated, and at the request of the importer, vehicles can be cleared at any of the 5 customs offices and 6 customs points operating in Armenia.

At the same time, the Public Revenue Committee announces that to avoid queues, the Ararat Customs Office - Division 2 (automobile customs office) will be operating Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM until the end of December 2018.
