VIDEO: Don't be rude, Hayk Arshakyan speaks with car importers who are dissatisfied

Today, car importers and automobile salespeople held a protest in front of the government.

Their discontent stems from the fact that over the year, when the sale of the second car is formalized as a donation, it has started to be taxed at 20 percent. The participants of the protest are proposing to set a fixed tax rate, as is the case in Georgia.

"It is no secret that when you buy a car, you drive it, and when you sell it, you do not earn any income. But they want to collect 20 percent of the market value. And those who are engaged in selling cars, for example, had $3,000, circulated it, and sold 5 cars, their money has reached $4,000. Now they are asking for taxes from them based on $5,000. They physically cannot pay that and will fall into debt," said one of the participants in the protest.

Moreover, we have previously reported that shortly before, the RA State Revenue Committee provided clarification regarding the 20 percent tax when donating cars.
