A Cable Car Will Be Constructed in Yerevan

This project is included in the city's investment programs section.

Specifically, it states:

“The cable car in Yerevan can ensure efficient operation, supplementing traditional forms of transport in solving transportation problems. At the same time, in the presence of geographically complex terrain or other barriers, it stands out favorably from other means of transport.”

It is proposed to consider the following options for the cable car operation:

Option One: Lower station - Komitas Park, intermediate - the Mother Armenia statue (Victory Park), Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district - intersection of Dro and Sevak streets, Avan Arinj neighborhood's second microdistrict. Total length - 6222 m, capacity - 2400 - 3000 people/hour.

Option Two: Mashtots Avenue - section of the Main Avenue, intermediate - Halabyan street at Tumanyan Park, 16th district - 2nd chain. Length - 5168 m, capacity - 2400 - 3500 people/hour.

Option Three: Near St. Gregory the Illuminator Church (Circular Park), intermediate - Norq Marash administrative district, Nor-Nork 2nd mass - Gay street. Length - 5345 m, capacity - 3000 people/hour.

Option Four: Tashir shopping center (intersection of Tigran Mets, M. Khorenatsi, and Yerevan Kocharyan streets), intermediate - Sari Tagh 12th street, central part of Nor Nork administrative district’s 7th and 8th masses.

Option Five: Tamanyan Park, intermediate - 50th Anniversary monument, intersection of N. Zaryan street and Komitas passage (North Radiant building), Nor Arabkir park.

Other locations for the construction of the cable car may be considered upon the investor's proposal.

Project Timeline: The construction duration is approximately 3 years.

Project Cost: The project's cost will amount to about 20 million USD. The calculation has been made for a length of 5-6 km of the project.
