Famous Stars Arrested in Turkey in Drug Scandal

In a new anti-drug operation carried out in Istanbul on Thursday morning, at least 15 representatives from the film and show business industry have been arrested. This was reported by the TRT Haber television channel.

Among those detained are renowned actress and model Serenay Sarıkaya (known for the series “The Family,” “Tide,” “Shahmaran,” and “Thank You, Next”), as well as Feiza Civelek, a star from the series “Lorapurgi Syrup.” Singers Mabel Matiz and Berkay Şahin have also been arrested.

In total, the prosecutor's office has issued arrest warrants for 25 individuals, including journalist and producer Mirgun Cabas. They are suspected of drug use, possession, and distribution.

In recent months, large-scale anti-drug operations have been regularly conducted in Turkey. Previously, news broke about the arrests of dozens of people, including well-known actors, television journalists, and bloggers.

In February 2026, an Istanbul court placed a hold on the five-star 'Bebek' hotel located on the Bosphorus. According to police reports, parties were organized there where members of the elite were using drugs.
