Altercation at 'Yerevan City': Injuries Reported

An extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan on May 19. Around 20:45, the community police department of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs received operational information that an injured woman had been transported by ambulance to the 'Erebuni' medical center after sustaining a concussion from a fall at the 'Yerevan City' supermarket on Bagratuniats Avenue. The injured party is identified as 43-year-old Hayarpi Sh., a resident of Yerevan. As a result of measures undertaken by community police officers, it was revealed that on May 18 around 08:00, an altercation arose over work-related issues between Hayarpi Sh.'s husband, 48-year-old Artyom H., and an individual named Hovhannes, who works at the same supermarket. The two exchanged blows during the argument, and while approaching her husband, Hovhannes struck Hayarpi Sh. once, causing her to fall to the ground and sustain physical pain.

According to a photojournalist's information, through operational and investigative measures, the community police department of Shengavit has identified Hovhannes as 54-year-old Hovhannes M., a resident of the Aragatsotn region, and steps are being taken to locate him. Documentation related to the event has been prepared at the Shengavit police department and forwarded to the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia for the Shengavit administrative district.
