Tsarukyan's Response to Pashinyan's Statement on Nationalizing the Ararat Cement Factory

Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia party, has commented on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's recent statements, noting that Pashinyan's behavior is influenced by the political situation and his awareness of losing public support.

“My comment is that if he is acting this way, then it shows that things are not going well. Surveys are being conducted, and it’s clear that things are not as they used to be. Over the past eight years, apart from lying and deceiving, everyone remembers his promises, his claims that he didn’t come to surrender Artsakh but to resolve issues and remove the thorn from the people's finger, to close the speed cameras. He said the people are not a material for fines, but today the people have been turned into mere material for fines,” Tsarukyan emphasized.

According to Tsarukyan, the war was also a consequence of the government's policies. “He started a war by insulting Aliyev, which led to defeat, disgrace, casualties, disabled persons, and the surrender of lands. After that, he began to flatter Aliyev, asking for forgiveness and expressing gratitude. This does not bring honor to our nation,” he remarked.

The leader of the Prosperous Armenia party pointed out that the Prime Minister's current behavior is, in his assessment, related to concerns about his political future. “Everyone understands that things are not as they were. He knows the end is near. He has nothing more to say, nothing to do, and no plan,” Tsarukyan stressed.

Addressing the Prime Minister's statements regarding his son-in-law Karapet Guloyan and daughter Roza Tsarukyan’s real estate, Tsarukyan indicated that this topic is being artificially exploited. “Guloyan Vlad, Karapet's father, is my friend, a businessman well-known throughout Armenia. He is a successful person and generates significant income. Now this 'advertisement' stating that they have nationalized the house is not accepted by the people. Guloyan's son is a millionaire who has worked his whole life and created a business. Should my daughter not own a home?” he questioned.

Tsarukyan noted that the authorities have recalled these topics years later, which, according to him, serves political purposes. “It has been 25 years, and now they remember. What is this about? All taxes have been paid, everything is legal. This is a sign that they already feel that the end has come,” the leader of Prosperous Armenia stated.

He also declared that the main threats to the country today are “Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan.” “You cannot keep the people in this situation. The people now want a reality: peace, investments, a prosperous life. This is the main issue. Whatever starts has an end,” Tsarukyan concluded.
