Edgar Mkrtchyan Welcomes Delegation from the Asian Development Bank
The Deputy Minister of Finance Edgar Mkrtchyan met with a delegation led by Levelyn Roberts, Deputy Director General of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Welcoming the high-ranking guests, Edgar Mkrtchyan emphasized the importance of the effective cooperation with ADB that has lasted for more than twenty years. He highlighted the professional consultancy provided by ADB, known as a 'knowledge bank', and the technical support for ongoing reforms.
During the meeting, the parties discussed both the ongoing ADB programs in Armenia and future projects. Among a number of vital initiatives, they addressed the launch of the third program on 'Fiscal Sustainability and Development of Financial Markets,' aimed at deepening economic and fiscal reforms in the country. Additionally, they discussed the details of the upcoming 'Third Program for Improving Seismic Safety.'
At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to continue close cooperation to strengthen Armenia's economic stability and advance the strategic agenda for development.
