How to Solve the Issues with Wildberries and Ozon: Aram Sargsyan

According to Aram Sargsyan, the head of the Republic Party, the cessation of operations of Wildberries and Ozon by Russia essentially communicates that Armenia must either appoint my preferred Prime Minister and take no steps outside the framework of the EAEU and CSTO, or face difficulties.

'Firstly, Wildberries and Ozon are not in Armenia for our sweet eyes; they are here to make money. Secondly, I am convinced that the people of Armenia must defend their sovereignty and not yield to Russian pressure. Thirdly, this behavior by Russia creates additional conditions for Armenia to extract real results from the EU summit, regarding both visa liberalization and penetrating the EU's 500 million market.'

The upcoming EU summit in Yerevan is a timely and unique opportunity for Armenia to present the case for EU membership. I urge the Armenian authorities to take advantage of this opportunity. I am confident that on June 7, our people will shape the authorities with their vote, maintaining today’s political course, which will open the doors to EU markets, attract Amazon to Armenia, and force Russia to reconcile with this situation by returning Ozon and Wildberries to Armenia in an attempt to regain what they have lost,' Sargsyan wrote.
