China Sends Stern Message to the World after Putin-Xi Jinping Meeting: "Return to the Jungle Law"

A meeting between the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, and the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, who is on an official visit to China, took place at the House of the People's Representatives in Beijing. Following the meeting, the leaders issued a joint statement summarizing the results of their discussions.

In his remarks, Xi highlighted the importance of expanding bilateral ties and continuing mutual strategic dialogue. He stated that Beijing and Moscow must continue to support each other on issues of key interests and take joint steps to explore new partnership horizons. Xi described the current level of relations as an exemplary model for cooperation among major powers.

Addressing the present geopolitical developments, the Chinese President expressed concerns about the instability prevailing in the international arena. He pointed out that unilateral actions and aspirations for hegemony seriously undermine global stability, posing risks of a retreat from international legal norms and escalating security crises.

Furthermore, the Chinese President warned of the threat of returning to a "jungle law" on the international stage. “This world is completely unstable. The damage caused by unilateral actions and hegemonic ambitions is unimaginable. A danger arises for a return to the law of the jungle,” he stated during the joint announcement with President Vladimir Putin.
