The State of the Russian Army is Extremely Poor: The Wall Street Journal
American journal analysis indicates that the Russian armed forces are facing serious issues on the battlefield in recent months; however, the current situation is still not sufficient for Moscow to change its actions. According to the authoritative publication The Wall Street Journal, despite the problems recorded on the front and the slowing pace of advances, Russia is not prepared to revise its strategy.
Experts note that the pace of advances by the Russian armed forces is currently at its lowest in the past two years. Published data suggest that the monthly losses for the Russian side are estimated at tens of thousands of soldiers. One of the main factors contributing to the change in the situation is the active use of medium-range drones by the Ukrainian armed forces. Ukrainian drones are successfully targeting Russian logistical operations in the rear, headquarters, anti-aircraft defenses, and command systems.
Military analyst Rob Lee states that it is becoming increasingly difficult for Russia to deliver retaliatory strikes at such distances. Another military expert, Franz-Stefan Gadi, emphasizes that Ukraine is now in a much stronger position than previously assumed. However, according to the expert, war involves phases of mutual adaptation, and the main question now is whether the Russian side will be able to find effective solutions to counteract the technological and strategic advantages of the Ukrainian army.
