Lukashenko's Instruction: Belarus to Invest 1 Billion Dollars in Nagorno-Karabakh
Belarus plans to participate in projects being implemented in the territories of Azerbaijan that have been liberated, with a total value of approximately 1 billion dollars. This announcement was made by the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Belarus, Igor Sergeyenko, during the 13th session of the World Cities Forum (WUF13) taking place in Baku.
According to him, the Belarusian delegation is participating in the forum at the instruction of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
"The forum is organized at an excellent level. More than 45,000 people are participating here. This is a large-scale event," Sergeyenko noted.
He emphasized that the main goal of international cooperation should be to create comfortable living conditions for people.
"For us, the development of bilateral relations with friendly Azerbaijan is one of our priorities. We are discussing this direction with our partners," the Speaker of the House of Representatives stated.
He also mentioned that Belarus intends to participate in projects in the liberated areas of Azerbaijan. "Of course, projects involving the Republic of Belarus are planned in the liberated territories. The value of these projects is about 1 billion dollars," Sergeyenko said.
He added that there are "no closed topics" in the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus.
