‘Thief by Law’ Instructs Not to Vote for Civil Contract Party; He Has Been Arrested
During the preliminary investigation of a criminal case initiated by the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Special Cases Investigation Department, it has been revealed, through investigative actions and operational-search measures conducted jointly with the National Police of the Republic of Armenia, that A.D., a person with a high status in the criminal hierarchy, threatened, coerced, and engaged in illegal actions through sexual insults, thereby instructing and forcing members of a criminal subculture, including K.G., not to vote for the ‘Civil Contract’ party in the upcoming National Assembly elections on June 7, 2026. To this end, instructions were transmitted to everyone, obstructing other individuals from freely exercising their voting rights.
On the same day, K.G. informed other individuals about the illegal instruction received from A.D., making it accessible to them and thus carrying out illegal actions directed at achieving the objectives pursued by the criminal subculture.
A public criminal prosecution has been initiated against A.D. under Article 322, Part 1 (giving or receiving a high status in the criminal hierarchy) and under Article 210, Part 3, Clause 3 (coercing someone to vote in a referendum or election in any way, to participate in a referendum or election, or to refuse to participate in a referendum or election, by using material or other dependencies). K.G. has been charged under Article 324, Part 1 (participating in or involving others in a criminal subculture).
The measure of restraint chosen against A.D., a person with high status in the criminal hierarchy, has been arrest, and a search warrant has been issued. The preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
