Population Growth in Armenia: Updated Statistical Data
The permanent population of the Republic of Armenia has increased by approximately 20,000. As of January 1 of this year, the permanent population of Armenia was 3,096,900, while in the same period last year, this figure was 3,076,200.
The majority of the population, 1,980,700, lives in urban areas, with 1,147,700 residing in the capital, Yerevan. The rural population stands at 1,116,200.
