Airplane Evacuated Due to Wi-Fi Network Name
A KLM flight from Malaga to Amsterdam was evacuated after the discovery of the word "bomb" in the name of a Wi-Fi network.
As the flight was preparing for departure, a passenger noticed a suspicious Wi-Fi network named "Allahu Akbar (bomb on board)." The crew reported the matter to the relevant airport authorities, after which the aircraft was returned to the boarding gate.
Following the evacuation, luggage and carry-on items were subjected to thorough searches for explosive materials; however, no dangerous objects were found.
Due to the "large-scale operation," the flight was delayed by four hours. Since the incident was not the airline's fault, passengers were not compensated.
According to media reports, the identity of the creator of the suspicious network has not yet been determined, and it is assumed that the threat was an ill-fated joke.
