Chairman of the Russian State Duma Warns Pashinyan: Strong Statement from Russia
“Our relationships with countries are built on the principles of friendship, mutually beneficial cooperation, and non-interference in the affairs of sovereign states. Where these are formed mutually, it turns into strategic partnership and, moreover, allied relations,” wrote State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin on his Telegram channel, adding that “considering the achieved level, work is being built, emphasizing how important it is for us to develop relations between countries and peoples.”
“Despite the fact that the State Duma is represented by various political factions and each deputy sees the situation in their own way, we try to do everything to strengthen friendship,” highlighted the Chairman of the State Duma. He noted that deputies follow this “unchanged.”
Vyacheslav Volodin decided to raise a topic that, according to him, “left no one indifferent.” “Everyone paid attention to it. However, based on the above, I did not rush to express myself about this immediately,” he wrote.
“May 9 is a sacred day for the multinational people of the USSR and today for all sovereign states where its former citizens reside. This unites us,” reminded the Chairman of the State Duma.
“Now this topic should be discussed correctly. It cannot be silenced. It’s about decency,” he continued. “Right before the celebration of Victory Day—a holiday that, as I said, unites representatives of all nationalities—a summit took place in Yerevan with guests of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.”
The Chairman of the State Duma recalled that “followed the speeches and statements of the attendees, including possibly joined by Pashinyan’s ‘personal’ guest, the leader of the bloody regime in Kyiv, Zelensky.”
“It is quite obvious that a friendly step towards our country, the citizens of Russia, and yes, also the Armenian people cannot be called this act by Nikol Vovik,” believes Vyacheslav Volodin.
“I predict that statements will begin, that ‘We are a sovereign state, we do what we want.’ No one talks about sovereignty and intervention. It is about morality and decency. They either exist, or they do not,” stated the Chairman of the State Duma.
According to him, “one can hold high positions, but that does not mean that a person possesses these qualities.” “We have one of the closest and best relationships with the Armenian people. The number of Armenians living in Russia is almost equal to the number of those living in Armenia. In our country, Armenians manifest themselves equally with other nationalities, occupy positions, are elected deputies—helping their relatives and friends in Armenia,” added Vyacheslav Volodin.
“How will relations develop after such actions from Pashinyan? Will our states be closer or further apart? Will there be less or more tension in relations?” posed questions the Chairman of the State Duma.
“Most likely the latter. An involuntary parallel emerges—this is how everything started in Ukraine. Is this what the ordinary citizens of Armenia need?” concluded Vyacheslav Volodin.
