VIDEO: Fire Breaks Out During Turkish Plane's Landing
A Turkish Airlines aircraft arriving from Istanbul to Kathmandu caught fire while landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, the capital of Nepal. According to the Nepal News portal, referencing the airport authorities, one of the plane's chassis wheels ignited during the landing.
Footage circulated online shows flames and smoke near the chassis while the aircraft was still moving on the runway. There were between 284 to 289 people on board, including 11 crew members. Passengers and crew were evacuated through emergency exits, and fortunately, there were no reported injuries. An investigation is underway regarding the incident.
