Video: Katrych Nersisyan Has Long Been One of the Leaders of the Hybrid Warfare Against Armenia, Says Pashinyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during the campaign of the Civil Contract party, referred to the fact that yesterday, Catholicos Garegin II of All Armenians visited the leader of the 'Strong Armenia' party, Samvel Karapetyan. In response to the observation that a video shared by the Mother See shows them embracing and Samvel Karapetyan patting the Catholicos on the shoulder, asking if this is a violation of church regulations, Pashinyan stated: 'Katrych Nersisyan under that robe is already an insult to the church. They will embrace now, and I don't know what they will do, but this disgrace has existed from the beginning, therefore I will refrain from commenting on the other parts with your permission.'

Pashinyan went on to say, 'Katrych Nersisyan has long been one of the leaders of the hybrid warfare against Armenia, simply with the logic that he is doing it in such a way that he provokes and encourages others while staying in the shadows to ensure his protection. But I believe and hope that the people of the Republic of Armenia will resolve this situation based on the results of the elections on June 7, 2026.' He noted that it is not new for the church to express a political stance: 'Immediately after the revolution, the church has been engaged in political activities, and there are manifestations of this. Moreover, it is engaged in anti-government political activities, and there are criminal cases. No matter how much they try to politicize it, the facts are ultimately in their place. This is not a case where someone says, 'I heard something while passing by.' All the facts are clearly recorded in an irrefutable and unassailable manner. At least, I have posted them online, and there is no room for additional comments there either.'
