The Start Date for First Graders Registration Process Announced

ArmLur.am presents the admission process for first graders for the 2026-2027 academic year, indicating that in public educational institutions in Armenia where there are multiple schools in a given community, the registration will once again be conducted through the online system hayt.emis.am.

If you have a child enrolling in the first grade, please pay attention and follow the steps outlined in the schedule below:

The actual registration process for first graders in public educational institutions will begin on June 9 and will take place in three phases. As the first step of the registration, it is essential to check the completeness of the child's data. To that end, the National Center for Educational Technologies has launched the website stugum.emis.am, where parents of children enrolling in school can verify the accuracy and completeness of their child's personal data starting from May 10. This step is necessary to avoid issues related to data discrepancies during the actual registration process.

The registration process will be managed through the “Electronic System for Enrolling Students in Schools” (hayt.emis.am, haytru.emis.am) run by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.

Priority and preference are given if:

• the enrolling child's sibling is studying at the same general education school,
• the enrolling child's parent is an employee of that school,
• the enrolling child's parent works in the public sector of the Republic of Armenia and has been transferred to another location for at least 6 months due to official obligations in accordance with relevant legislation.

This temporal limitation does not apply when the registration is being done for families included in the social vulnerability assessment system living within the pedestrian accessibility range from that school to their home, or for children under guardianship, or for children whose parents have disabilities. In this case, the parent submits an application to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, presenting the relevant grounds. Registration for this group of children is conducted in accordance with the procedure established by decree No. 1640-N, dated November 24, 2010.
