Population of Armenia Increases

The number of permanent residents in Armenia, calculated based on the current registration data from the 2022 census, reached 3,100,100 as of April 1, 2026. This marks an increase from 3,081,100 during the same period in 2025, according to data from the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

The urban population in Armenia is reported to be 1,980,900, with 1,148,400 residing in Yerevan. Additionally, the population in rural areas amounts to 1,119,200.
