FIFA World Cup Final Ticket Price Reaches Record Number
The ticket listed on FIFA's resale platform belongs to the third tier, which is traditionally considered the most affordable and accessible option for spectators. Priced at $11.5 million, the seat is located in a corner of the stadium, in the highest row of the stands, resulting in limited visibility of the playing field.
At the end of April, four tickets for the final were already listed on the same platform, each priced at around $2.3 million. In this regard, FIFA President Gianni Infantino jokingly remarked that he would personally serve a hot dog and drinks to anyone purchasing a ticket at such a price.
Infantino justified the high pricing by citing enormous demand and the permissibility of reselling in the United States. The World Cup final is scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The 2026 tournament is unique in that it will feature 48 teams for the first time, with matches being hosted simultaneously in three countries: the USA, Canada, and Mexico. The championship will kick off on June 11 and conclude on July 19.
