The Mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, criticized the work conducted during Hayk Marutyan's tenure in his speech, particularly noting, "I want to recall the period from 2018 to 2021 and the systemic work and solutions implemented during that time, which, upon further detailed examination, reveal a complete lack of action. For example, you were partially reconstructing about ten yards a year, and now we are renovating all those yards once again."

In response to the opposition’s statements, Avinyan addressed the 'Mother Armenia' monument, stating that this political force has "arrived at the list of Gagik Tsarukyan’s 'Prosperous Armenia' and the 'Armenia' alliance list."

"I am very glad about one thing: that you are able to speak today, that we have created this opportunity for you, that you can say whatever you want, whether it is a lie or the truth, with absolutely no consequences, dear colleagues. Because in those lists where you belong, you were underfoot in the conditions of those authorities," he added.
