VIDEO. Armenia Is Moving Decisively Towards Europe, Macron

French President Emmanuel Macron stated at a press conference following his meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that Armenia is a full member of the European family and is moving forward in that direction with confident steps.

According to the French president, Armenia has strengthened its democracy despite numerous challenges and has decisively chosen the path of peace and prosperity. “Armenia is moving decisively towards Europe and has always been a full member of the European family. This progress in European political terms is, I can say, evident to me over these last two days,” said Macron.

He emphasized that since his visit in 2018, Armenia has come a long way in overcoming the aftermath of the war. “Armenia has gone through war, then established peace, and then prosperity,” he noted, adding that in recent years, the country's economy has recorded an average annual growth of 6 percent.
