Fight Breaks Out in Real Madrid's Dressing Room; Player Taken to Hospital for Head Injury
The French portal RMC Sport has detailed the incident between Real Madrid midfielders Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni, which resulted in the Uruguayan player losing consciousness.
It was reported that during training, Tchouaméni delivered a powerful blow to Valverde. The French midfielder stated that it was not intentional, but the Uruguayan did not accept his apology. Federico attempted to take revenge on Aurélien and struck him back forcefully.
Following the previous day's training session, there was a verbal altercation between the players, which, however, did not escalate into physical confrontation. At the beginning of today's training, Valverde refused to shake Tchouaméni's hand. Subsequently, the team captain delivered a “very strong” blow to the French player.
In an attempt to defuse the situation, Real Madrid's head coach Álvaro Arbeloa included them in the same team, but this move did not help, and the conflict continued between the players.
After the training session, a full-blown fight broke out between Valverde and Tchouaméni in the dressing room, which other players attempted to interrupt. Valverde fell to the ground with a head injury and lost consciousness. He was then taken to the hospital, accompanied by Arbeloa.
The club has decided to punish both players involved.
