Details on Controversial Incident Involving Minors in Vedi: Investigative Committee

The Investigative Committee has presented details regarding a controversial incident involving minor sisters in the town of Vedi. We provide specific circumstances clarified during the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings related to the widely circulated information online about the case.

On February 12, 2026, the father of the minor sisters filed a report with the Vedi division of the National Police, stating that on February 8, V.E., taking advantage of his daughter’s helpless state (diagnosed with intellectual disability), committed an immoral act. During the preliminary investigation of the initiated criminal proceedings, the minor victim testified that V.E. is a benefactor of their home and that she did not have any sexual relations with him. The minor refused to undergo further forensic examination.

Subsequently, on April 22, 2026, the sister of the minor victim, who is also a minor, reported to the Vedi division of the National Police about an incident in April where an unknown man named Arthur approached her, convinced her to get into his car under the pretense of taking her to school, but instead took her to a construction site on the way to the city church and had sexual intercourse with her.

According to information obtained during the preliminary investigation of the initiated criminal proceedings, the minor victim requires special educational conditions and psychological-pedagogical services due to her intellectual challenges. During the investigation, the minor victim provided conflicting statements, notably denying any sexual relation with any person, including Arthur, at one point stating that the man did not attempt to have sexual relations with her, did not hit her, and did not even kiss her. However, during a forensic examination, she mentioned that she has been having sexual relations with another individual for the past year.

Considering the above circumstances, a forensic psychiatric-psychological comprehensive examination has been appointed for the minor victim. Individuals indicated by the minors, family members, and teachers have been interrogated, and directives for carrying out relevant operational-investigative measures have been issued to the investigative body.

In order to clarify the actual circumstances of the incident, necessary procedural and evidential actions are being taken by the investigative body.
