The Armenia-EU First Summit to Be Held in Yerevan on May 5

In addition to the ECE meeting, a first Armenia-European Union summit will also take place in Yerevan on May 4-5. The EU will be represented at this bilateral summit by European Council President Antonio Costa, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and EU High Representative Kaja Kallas. From the Armenian side, the negotiations will be led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The main topics of the Armenia-EU summit will include:

  • Deepening bilateral relations and visa liberalization.
  • Cooperation in energy, transport, and digital sectors.
  • The process of ensuring peace and security in the South Caucasus.

At the conclusion of the summit, a joint declaration will be published, and a number of signed documents significant for deepening EU-Armenia partnership will be exchanged.
