VIDEO: I hope that Samvel Karapetian's house arrest will be lifted in May, Vardevanyan

“There is currently no procedure regarding the voting rights of individuals under house arrest,” lawyer Aram Vardevanyan said in a conversation with reporters, responding to the question of how Samvel Karapetian, who is under house arrest, will vote. “Is it reasonable for Samvel Karapetian to be under house arrest? The answer to that is, of course, available: it is fear, political persecution. But overcoming all that, we are moving forward,” Vardevanyan stated, adding, “I truly have unyielding hope regarding the rule of law and humanity. I believe that during the month of May, the obviously illegal house arrest imposed on Samvel Karapetian as a preventive measure should be lifted.”
