Armenia is a Stable Country in an Unsettled Region, Says OSCE Secretary General

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has received OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid.

The Prime Minister welcomed Secretary General Schmid's visit to Armenia to participate in the 8th Summit of the European Political Community. Pashinyan emphasized the importance of the continued development of Armenia-OSCE cooperation, including through the implementation of programs aimed at strengthening Armenia's capacities in various sectors.

The OSCE Secretary General congratulated the Prime Minister on the occasion of the summit and noted that it reflects the significant international attention towards Armenia. According to Schmid, Armenia is a stable country in an unsettled region, which is also a result of Prime Minister Pashinyan's and the Government of Armenia's efforts.

She added that she is always impressed by the progress Armenia has made each time she visits Yerevan.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the agenda of Armenia-OSCE cooperation, as well as regional issues of significance. In particular, they discussed projects aimed at unblocking regional communication routes.
