Czech Prime Minister to Meet with Zelensky in Yerevan, Media Reports
Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš has announced his intention to negotiate with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during the upcoming European Political Community summit to be held in Yerevan.
Babiš stated that he plans to hold a private meeting with President Zelensky within the framework of the summit. The information was reported by iDnes.cz.
"I will also have brief bilateral meetings with UK Prime Minister Starmer, the Prime Minister of Serbia, and the President of Moldova. For the first time, I will also hold negotiations with Ukrainian President Zelensky," Babiš noted.
The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of the upcoming meeting but added that he has no intention of traveling to Kyiv.
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan confirmed President Zelensky's visit to Yerevan. The visit is scheduled for Monday, May 4, coinciding with the start of the European Political Community summit in the Armenian capital.
No further details regarding the Ukrainian President's visit to Armenia have been released yet.
It is worth recalling that earlier, the Czech Prime Minister had discussed the reasons for the failure of the negotiation process between Russia and Ukraine in 2022.
