Avanesyan on the Health Status of Armenian Prisoners Held in Baku
The Minister of Health of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, addressed the issue of the health status of Armenian prisoners held in Baku during a press conference.
“Work related to the health condition of Armenians in Baku, as well as all other matters, is constantly being carried out under the coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia. I assure you that both through international law and all possible humanitarian channels, these issues are kept in focus with the coordination of our foreign policy agency. These efforts do not lag or delay at any moment; they are always under the attention of our government,” said Avanesyan.
It is noteworthy that Azerbaijan continues to illegally detain 19 Armenian prisoners, including representatives of the former military-political leadership of Nagorno-Karabakh. They have been sentenced to imprisonment based on false charges.
