We Will Have Discussions with Russia Regarding Israel and the USA: Araqchi
The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has arrived in St. Petersburg to conduct negotiations with the Russian leadership. The main agenda of the visit includes addressing the existing tensions in relations with the USA and Israel, as well as the situation created by ongoing military operations in the Middle East.
The head of Iranian diplomacy noted on his Telegram channel that Tehran and Moscow traditionally hold close consultations on regional and international significance issues. He pointed out that due to the wartime situation, there had been a certain pause in the schedule of bilateral meetings, and this visit would provide an opportunity to restore the necessary cooperation and coordinate actions.
“We are using this opportunity to discuss the developments related to the war situation, we will discuss the current scenario,” said Iran's foreign minister.
As part of his visit to St. Petersburg, Araqchi is scheduled to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Additionally, Iran's ambassador in Russia, Kazem Jalali, stated that the Iranian minister also expects to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss issues of strategic importance.
