The Prosecutor General's Office has filed a demand for the confiscation of property worth 324 million drams

The property rights of the Republic of Armenia have been registered for real estate with an area of approximately 20.6 hectares, with a market value of around 324 million drams. This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office.

"On April 26, 2026, the property rights of the Republic of Armenia were registered for real estate in the village of Kanakeravan, Nor Hachn community of Kotayk Province, with an area of about 20.6 hectares. The average market value of the property is 323 million 800 thousand drams (about 871 thousand US dollars).

Let us remind you that the Prosecutor General's Office had signed a settlement agreement for the confiscation of property of illegal origin, with a market value of 323 million 800 thousand drams, with the aim of transferring the property to the Republic of Armenia. This agreement was confirmed by a court ruling on March 5, 2026.

On August 29, 2023, the Prosecutor General's Office submitted a claim for the confiscation of property of illegal origin to the Anti-Corruption Court against Manuk Hakobyan, the assistant of the former head of the Abovyan community in Kotayk Province, Karapet Guloyan, and his wife. The hearings on the confiscation of other properties included in the lawsuit are ongoing," the statement said.
