Letter from the Person Who Attempted to Assassinate Trump Released
A manifesto by the individual who carried out an attack during an event in Washington has come to light. The New York Post has published the complete text of the document prepared by the assailant beforehand.
According to the released material, he had targeted officials from the administration, with the exception of one person. The document specifies a hierarchy of priorities, targeting senior officials down to lower-level staff, while the assailant planned to disable Secret Service agents only if it was absolutely necessary.
The manifesto’s author detailed the security weaknesses observed in the hotel, expressing astonishment over the low level of surveillance, noting that he was able to smuggle several weapons inside. He stated that, since security personnel were focused solely on the arrival of guests and demonstrators outside the building, he, having reserved a room in advance, managed to evade checks.
“All officials in the administration (except Mr. Patel): they are targets. The Secret Service agents can become targets only if absolutely necessary and will be neutralized non-lethally if possible. I hope they are wearing bulletproof vests, as shooting them in the center of the body with a shotgun causes critical damage to those who are unprotected. I expected to see security cameras at every turn, eavesdropping devices in rooms, armed agents every three meters, and countless metal detectors. In the end, nothing (who knows, maybe they are joking). The first thing I noticed upon entering the hotel was the arrogance hanging in the air. I come in with several weapons, and none of the attendees even consider that I might pose a danger. The guards are focused outside, monitoring the protesters and arriving guests. Apparently, no one thought about what could happen. I sincerely hope that when the country truly has professional leadership again, the situation will be corrected. If I were an Iranian agent, rather than a U.S. citizen, I could even bring in a Ma Deuce (Browning m2 caliber machine gun) here. It’s just madness. I am disgusted; I want to cry. I am enraged thinking about what this administration has done,” the text says.
He also expressed the opinion that under such negligence, even foreign agents could bring in more serious weaponry.
