International Dance Day to Unite Around 4000 Dancers: Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, International Dance Day on April 29 will feature the festive initiative titled "Come, Dance!" organized by the National Center for Folk Music and Dance. A series of events will take place as part of this celebration.

The large-scale public cultural event dedicated to International Dance Day is expected to unite around 4000 dancers from state dance studios operating under the National Center for Folk Music and Dance, the Union of Dance Professionals named after Vanush Khanamiryants, groups operating under the National Union of Dance of Armenia, popular dance groups, and higher and vocational educational institutions in Armenia, as well as dance groups from various regions of Armenia.

The aim of the event is to popularize Armenian dance art, highlight its vitality and significance, and ensure the active participation of a wide segment of the society in preserving and promoting the national dance heritage. This information was provided by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia.

The events for International Dance Day will take place in the center of the capital: at 16:00, a festive round dance titled "Festive Round Dance with 7 Circles" will kick off at Republic Square, marking the start of the day's program. At 18:00, simultaneous dance flash mobs will begin on Northern Avenue, in the square named after Charles Aznavour, in the backyard of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, and in the area adjacent to the Alexander Spendiaryan House-Museum. At 19:00, the conclusion of the day's events will be announced at Freedom Square.

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and the National Center for Folk Music and Dance invite everyone to join the celebration and participate in the "Come, Dance!" initiative, becoming carriers and promoters of Armenian dance.
