VIDEO: Workday to be Reduced for Parents with One or Two Children, Torosyan Details
Arsen Torosyan, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, has outlined new amendments to the Labor Code on his Facebook page, which are now available for public discussion on the e-draft platform.
According to the Minister, the initiative aims to make citizens and employers feel more comfortable in their work relationships. The proposed amendments include the introduction of two regulations: parental hours and flexible work schedules.
The purpose of introducing parental hours is to support parents with children under the age of 12 by providing them with shorter working hours. Specifically, for parents with one or two children, the workday will be reduced by 30 minutes, and for parents with three or more children, it will be reduced by up to 1 hour.
