He is a sick man. Hates Christians. Trump
Donald Trump stated that the individual who opened fire during the White House Correspondents' Association dinner exhibited clear anti-Christian sentiments. In an interview with Fox News, Trump noted that 'the shooter has harbored a lot of hatred in his heart for a long time,' which is connected to religion. According to him, it was a pronounced anti-Christian predisposition.
Trump mentioned that the shooter's relatives had previously complained to law enforcement about his behavior. Fox News journalist Jackie Heinrich reported that prior to the attack, the man had written a 'manifesto.' In it, he targeted American officials and actively opposed Trump’s policies.
The President referred to the shooter as a 'sick man.' 'That man is a sick man. When you read his manifesto, it becomes clear that he hates Christians; that is a fact. He hates Christians. It’s hatred,' Trump emphasized.
District of Columbia U.S. Attorney Janine Piro announced that the assailant has been charged with one count of assault on a federal officer with a weapon and two counts related to the use of firearms.
The incident occurred at the Hilton Hotel in Washington, where the dinner was taking place with the participation of the President. The 31-year-old shooter, Cole Allen from California, was soon arrested and is scheduled to appear in court on April 27.
