I Received a New Proposal from Iran: Trump
On April 25, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he received a new proposal from Iran after the cancellation of American negotiators' trip to Pakistan. In a conversation with reporters, he stated, “We were given a document that was supposed to be better. And interestingly, just 10 minutes after I canceled that (the U.S. representatives' trip to negotiations), we received a new document that was much better.”
Trump emphasized that guarantees regarding Iran's abandonment of nuclear weapons are crucial in the content of the document. Concurrently, a representative from the Islamic Republic's Ministry of Defense, Reza Talaynik, stated that Washington is searching for options to conclude the confrontation with dignity, as the objective of destroying Iran's military power has failed.
On the same day, Trump clarified on the Truth Social platform why he canceled the trip of Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Pakistan. According to him, the reason for the decision is that Washington does not have a clear understanding of who actually runs Iran.
