VIDEO: We will support the opposition leading party's prime ministerial candidate, Artavazd Minasyan

“We are going to gather a very large number of votes, with conviction and expectation,” said Artavazd Minasyan, a member of the ‘Armenia’ parliamentary group, in a conversation with reporters today. He noted that if they do not succeed, they expect a broad collaboration within the opposition that will allow for “depriving this government of the opportunity to be re-elected.”

When asked whether they have an internal agreement that if they pass through parliament with three political forces, the prime ministerial candidate will be Robert Kocharyan and they would vote in favor of Kocharyan, Minasyan responded, “No, there has been no such agreement, discussion, or conversation. Moreover, I can say that President Kocharyan has spoken about this during one of his briefings, if I am not mistaken, and a logical explanation has been provided.”

He emphasized that the opposition force's prime ministerial candidate who receives the most votes will receive their support, and they expect the same approach from other forces.
