Changes Planned in Housing Provision Program for Artsakh Residents
In order to enhance the effectiveness of the state support program for housing provision for families displaced from Artsakh, the Ministry of Labor and Social Issues has submitted a draft decision by the Armenian government for public discussion on the unified platform for publishing legal acts, e-draft.am.
According to the information spread by the ministry, the following changes are proposed in the program:
- If a divorced member of the family included in the application has a minor child (children) at the time of application, the child (children) will be considered a mandatory member of the family unit of the parent with whom the child (children) resides according to a court decision. In the absence of a court decision, the child (children) will be considered a mandatory member of the mother’s family unit, and the father can be included in the application without that child (children).
- The positive remainder from the program can be directed not only to the acquisition of property and renovation of the house but also to the reconstruction of individual houses and the development of the surrounding area.
- Family members not included in the certificate can combine their certificates with that of the family. In this case, the support amount can be reallocated as a positive remainder in accordance with the directions and limits set by the program.
