Video: Romanos Petrosyan on the Dismissals of HETC Employees

The temporary manager of HETC, Romanos Petrosyan, addressed the media today regarding the dispute over the dismissal orders of the company’s employees and ongoing legal processes. On April 22, Romanos Petrosyan noted that only those employees who were directly or indirectly involved in apparent financial misconduct had been dismissed from HETC.

According to him, individuals who were incompetent in their positions and did not enjoy his and his team's discretionary trust were also dismissed. Referring to the invalidation of dismissal orders for around three dozen employees and the recovery of hundreds of millions of drams, the temporary manager stated that there are several dozen ongoing legal cases.

He emphasized that there has not yet been a single ruling that mandates the reinstatement of any employee; in all cases, compensation decisions have been made. Petrosyan added that all rulings have been appealed to higher courts, highlighting that those dismissed are also citizens of the country, and the state is committed to them.

When asked who would cover the payments, Romanos Petrosyan responded that all funds belong exclusively to HETC, and the company’s budget is formed from payments made by the public and subscribers.
