US Court's New Ruling Will Also Affect Foreign Nationals

The US Court of Appeals has issued a ruling allowing the display of the biblical "Ten Commandments" in public school classrooms. According to the Washington Post, this legal process may continue in the Supreme Court as it pertains to the principles of separation of church and state.

The court concluded that the placement of the commandments in educational institutions is not considered a coercion of religion or a promotion of faith. The judges indicated that such initiatives do not compel students to follow any particular belief but serve an informational or moralistic purpose. This ruling overturns previous restrictions.

It is worth noting that similar legislative initiatives have been adopted in Louisiana (2024) and Texas (2025). However, their implementation was temporarily suspended after several public organizations and citizens filed lawsuits, claiming that this violated the country’s Constitution.

Now, a legal precedent has been established that could pave the way for other states. At the same time, opponents of the law are preparing to appeal the decision in higher courts, attempting to prevent the entry of religious symbols into public schools.
