Traffic Restrictions in Yerevan on April 23 and 24
On April 24, the day of remembrance for the victims of the Armenian Genocide, temporary traffic and movement restrictions will be implemented to ensure public order, maintain security, manage citizen flows effectively, and facilitate the smooth conduct of state protocol events.
From 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM on April 24, the section of the road from the Victory Bridge to the intersection of Athens Street and the Tsitsernakaberd highway, up to Kırc Kırcoryan Street (formerly Leningrad Street), will be closed for two-way traffic. Additionally, the section leading from the Hrazdan Gorge to the “Hrazdan” stadium will also be restricted.
Access for citizens to the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex will be organized via the main avenue from Kırc Kırcoryan Street (formerly Leningrad Street), with exits directed towards Brazil Square. Free shuttle transportation will be provided from this location.
To ensure the peaceful and orderly conduct of the commemorative events, movement against the general flow of citizens will be prohibited, except for individuals with evident disabilities and their companions.
To ensure the safety of participants in state protocol events, access to the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex will be temporarily restricted for citizens from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
To ensure the safety of participants in the torchlight procession, traffic will be restricted on streets leading to Republic Square from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on April 23. Starting at 8:00 PM, traffic will be restricted in the following directions: Republic Square - Amiryan Street, Mashtots Avenue - France Square, Baghramyan Avenue - Friendship Square, and Kiyevyan Street - Kiyevyan Bridge, until the intersection of Halabyan and Kırc Kırcoryan streets.
