Regulatory Commission Presents Reduced Tariffs
The meeting of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia discussed the issue of reducing connection fees for new consumption systems to the distribution network. The new tariffs for connecting to the distribution network have been established in accordance with the rules of the electric power market.
For households and individuals in standalone buildings with a connection of 0.22 kV and 0.4 kV, as well as for developers of apartment buildings, the following standard connection fees have been set:
For those connecting at 0.22 kV:
- In Yerevan, the standard connection fee for 10 kVA power was reduced by around 40% to 166,000 AMD from the previous 277,000 AMD.
- In other regions of the republic, it was reduced by approximately 46% to 124,000 AMD from the previous 229,000 AMD.
- For 14 kVA power in Yerevan, the fee was reduced by about 34% to 199,000 AMD from the previous 300,000 AMD, and in other areas, it fell by around 40% to 140,000 AMD from the previous 234,000 AMD.
For those connecting at 0.4 kV:
- The fixed component of the standard connection fee for individual households and commercial consumers was decreased by about 24% to 229,000 AMD from the previous 300,000 AMD.
- The variable costs in Yerevan were reduced by around 65% to 16,000 AMD from the previous 46,000 AMD, while in other regions, they were cut by about 55% to 9,000 AMD from 20,000 AMD.
For connection fees for apartment buildings in single-phase connection:
- For 10 kVA power in Yerevan, the fee was decreased by around 40% to 406,000 AMD from the previous 672,000 AMD, and in other areas, it was reduced by approximately 39% to 275,000 AMD from 448,000 AMD.
- For 14 kVA in Yerevan, it fell by around 45% to 424,000 AMD from the previous 769,000 AMD, and in other regions, it decreased by around 39% to 318,000 AMD from 520,000 AMD.
For 0.4 kV (three-phase) connections, the fixed component was reduced by about 24% to 229,000 AMD from 300,000 AMD. The variable costs in Yerevan were reduced by about 31% to 61,000 AMD from the previous 89,000 AMD, and in other regions, it was cut by around 33% to 28,000 AMD from 42,000 AMD.
